Shalders is a fabulous 4 Star B&B situated in the south mainland of Shetland in the picturesque village of Levenwick. With magnificent sea views as far as Bressay and Noss to the north, the old croft-style house of Shalders has been extended and lovingly improved with modern facilities.

It is approximately 12 miles from the airport at Sumburgh - Shetland's southerly tip, and 14 miles from the bustling capital town of Lerwick.

Your hosts, Ann & Roy Longmuir, look forward to welcoming you into their home, where you will find a comfortable guest suite ready for your visit.

In the evening you can relax in our comfortable lounge which has panoramic sea views, television and broadband internet access.

We welcome cyclists, walkers, birders, surfers, photographers, canoeists, aviators, bikers, families and well behaved pets.

The Shetland archipelago is comprised of over one hundred islands - the main island being some seventy miles long from North to South. We are 200 miles by Northlink ferry from the Scottish port of Aberdeen and slightly less from Bergen in Norway. You can fly with Flybe to our islands  from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Aberdeen.

Travel within the islands is on excellent roads, with frequent car ferries between the Shetland mainland and the islands of Fetlar, Yell, Unst, Skerries, Whalsay, Foula and Papa Stour. An inter-island air service operates from Tingwall airstrip to Fair Isle, Foula, Skerries and Whalsay.
